Miles, Stansbury Travel to Brazil with Sports Reach Program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Hilltopper Basketball players Darrius Miles and Noah Stansbury are traveling to the São Paulo, Brazil region for a week-long, cultural exchange basketball trip with the Sports Reach sports ministry program.
 
The pair join a long list of WKU players who have traveled abroad with Sports Reach including Jared Savage, Justin Johnson, Nigel Snipes, T.J. Price, George Fant, A.J. Slaughter and Steffphon Pettigrew.
 
While on the trip, Miles and Stansbury will have the opportunity to visit churches, schools and neighborhoods in the area leading basketball clinics, sharing and interacting with the children.
 
They will also team up with four other collegiate players and three Brazilian players to play five games against teams in the São Paulo area. Lexington, Ky., native and Duke alum Vince Taylor is coaching the team through the trip.
 
Miles – a 6-10 center from Oak Cliff, Texas – appeared in just one game for the Hilltoppers in his first season on The Hill. He scored four points in 10 minutes at Kentucky.
 
Stansbury – a 6-foot guard from Bowling Green – made 14 appearances in his redshirt freshman season. He averaged 5.4 minutes and 0.6 assists per contest.
